NIOS - National Institute of Open Schooling was founded in the year 1989 by (MHRD)Ministry of Human Resource Development. The main aim of this board is to serve the children who are out of school, dropped-out or students requiring a flexible study mode. The board is also keen on helping backward classes. NIOS is one of the largest Open Schooling systems in the world with a mission to reach the learning needs of every student by breaking all the physical, mental, economical or geographical obstacles.
